The cat jiggled its butt at the rabbit wanting to jump but choosing last minute that it's not worth hurting the white rabbit even if it's an accident waiting to happen. So the black cat went into hiding like a black cat does waiting for another chance to meet the rabbit.
This time she's aware of where the rabbit might come out and play with its friends again. And again the cat watched as a cat can do from a distance with widen black pupils,
"I want to be equal to the white rabbit" the black cat thought
Again it was timeโฆ she didn't dig her claws and jump to meet the white rabbitโฆ she slowly hesitantly walked away as the other rabbits started to crowd them.
You would think that the cat would go back in hiding but instead she waits for the perfect time to speak to the rabbit but she gets a bit thirsty and walks up to the lake for a sip and the rabbit jumped away with their rabbit friends.
The cat went back into hiding but waited again thinking - "If only I could find them again, a time where maybe I could be seen as the same size as the rabbit."
So she looks and looks but the rabbit is nowhere to be found. She would look to the left and the rabbit would be on the right. She would climb the tree while the rabbit was burrowed underneath the tree.
The little black cat repeated in her head, "if the little white rabbit is meant for me than it cannot pass me. I do not want to sharpen my nails, oh no I would rather help them cut up some carrots and contribute to a search for the best of hay to lay on."
But the other rabbits were aware of the black cats intentions and they mocked it for never fully speaking to the rabbit despite the chances. But they could not understand how a cat could adore a rabbit when a rabbit can stand on its own two feet while a cat must stand on four. They could not understand why the cat spoke of bad timing and not lay a claw on the rabbit even when it finally got so close.
The cat adored the rabbit as the rabbit was a symbol of hope but to the rabbit, the cat looked like another black rabbit.
